Job Summary

SURETY -

This position is designated as an unescorted access position and is subject to the requirements of the Unescorted Access Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by the PCD Commander.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS -

· Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

· Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

· Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.

· Type and transcribe correspondence, memoranda, and reports (often of a technical nature), editing all material for spelling, punctuation, grammar and sentence structure.

· Attend department staff meeting, take notes, prepare minutes, and distribute to all attendees.

· Establish and maintain confidentiality on all matters related to department staffing, personnel evaluations, promotions, demotions, disciplinary actions, financial records and files, much of which may be of a confidential nature.

· Answer and place telephone calls involving internal and external contacts in a pleasant, polite manner, advising managers of messages and handling phone inquiries on own initiative.

· Receive and screen incoming mail for subject matter.

· Track action items for the department.

· Organize appointments, prepare for and arrange meetings, maintain meetings and appointments calendar and keep management informed of schedules and commitments in a timely manner.

· Plan and arrange travel for department personnel as needed, including assisting with travel expense reports.

· Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to all levels of personnel within the company as well as with the client and outside agencies.

· Provide O administrative support to the department including but not limited to arranging travel, completing and submitting travel expense reports, personnel accountability, scheduling training, correspondence, preparing and tracking overtime requests, ordering office supplies, and distribution of weekly safety topic.

· Assist HR with maintaining organizational charts.

· Perform data compilations as needed.

· Prepare slide presentations as needed.

· Input requisitions for the department staff.

· Carry out special projects as directed by management.

· Under direct supervision, perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments.

· Ensure requests for action/information are relayed to appropriate managers as necessary.

· Interpret requests and help implement action with ability to provide summarized briefings upon return.

Compensation & Benefits

STARTING RATE: $23.32/hour

This position includes participation in the PCAPP Employee Retention Incentive Benefit Plan, which provides a financial incentive encouraging personnel to remain employed by Amentum at the PCAPP project through a specified timeframe provided qualifiers are met.


Minimum Requirements

REQUIREMENTS / SPECIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/equivalent and 5 years professional secretarial, clerical or administrative experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain PCAPP site access.
  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.
  • Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and/or in a chemical demilitarization facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform work accurately with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis, compilation and/or presentation of data
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize projects
  • Must have extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Display ability to apply techniques and procedures critical in carrying out a wide variety of related clerical and administrative tasks for executive management
  • Must work well under pressure to meet priority deadlines required to accomplish objectives (may involve occasional overtime to complete task)
  • Must be highly focused and organized with ability to handle multiple projects within short deadlines in a fast-paced atmosphere (requiring initiative, flexibility and minimum supervision)
  • Must be able to communicate and interface with all levels of employees, managers, corporate management and the client in a professional and confidential manner
