What you will do:

You will provide high level administrative support requiring a good understanding of technical and business vocabulary and knowledge of the organization's operations, procedures, and people.

  • Organize meetings, teleconferences, and web casts both domestically and internationally, coordinate meeting logistics, prepare presentations and materials, and troubleshoot problems, often across other Stryker Business Units.
  • Gather, compile, verify, and analyze information for use in documents such as memos, letters, reports, speeches, presentations, and news releases.
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system, ensuring critical and/or confidential data is appropriately managed and stored. Handle confidential information.
  • Monitor, review, and approve standard expenditures to ensure the activities of the office are conducted within established budgets.
  • Perform tasks using independent judgment and discretion, e.g., preparing documents and presentation materials.
  • Answer, screen, and route phone calls, provide responses to general customer requests; prepare and screen correspondence, email, and voicemail.
  • Perform various communications responsibilities including Organizational announcements, General communications.
  • Support the completion of presentations, agendas, spreadsheets for business meetings, arrange and attends meetings, takes, and distributes minutes.
  • Type, create, and process letters, reports, and other materials (charts, graphs, etc.) using Microsoft Office Products.
  • Attend Leadership Meetings and compile/distribute meeting minutes.
  • Support of departmental goals to ensure completion of ongoing projects and special assignments.

What You Need:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 3+ years providing high-level administrative support including calendar, expense, and travel management.
  • Meeting / Event Planning
  • Web or online content management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite technology, including complex document creation, spreadsheet creation, and presentation creation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in email and calendaring systems, preferring Outlook proficiency.
  • Detail orientation (e.g. calendar support across multiple time zones).
  • Ability to take proactive initiative, learn new concepts/processes, and improve current processes.
  • Ability to provide rapid, accurate response to confidential/sensitive requests and to routinely handle confidential information.
  • Critical thinking skills preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deliverables and work in a demanding environment.
  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and executive schedules.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with international travel is required.
