Contract Manager – Facility Management, Construction and Maintenance Contracts

Welcome in our team

The contract manager is part of Facility Management (FM). FM is part of Facility & Engineering. This department is responsible for the technical maintenance and management of installations in the factories such as cleanrooms and electrical installations. On top of that FM takes care of the organization of the joint soft services at the location, such as security and hospitality.

Purpose of the role

In this role you will be responsible for maintenance and other service-related contract life-cycle management of (outsourcing-) contracts with strategic suppliers, primarily within Facilities Management but also support the CAPEX Project teams. Building and improving value adding supplier partnerships for a wide range of facilities management and technical services, aligned with global programs and site priorities.

The Contract Manager is responsible for implementation and improvement of Contractor Management procedure at the site and expert in this field.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage performance of strategic service providers against agreed KPIs, savings targets and expense budgets, participating in local and regional governance processes;
  • Lead interface with site clients ensuring understanding of all IFM (Integrated Facilities Management), maintenance and outsourcing strategies, projects and matters relating to the delivery of the IFM & Maintenance portfolio. Proactively initiate actions that add value through innovation and operational excellence. Build sponsorship and support for the strategy;
  • Partner with site leadership and strategic sourcing providers, to implement initiatives for areas such as SLA Implementation, Best Practice sharing, Continuous Improvement; utilize Lean and Six Sigma skills, tools and techniques to analyze and improve business processes. Collaborate with other Organon manufacturing sites to improve global contracts;
  • Oversee the operation of the FM & Maintenance strategic sourcing contracts: receive feedback from stakeholders to inform the respective governance processes integrating feedback into service standards;
  • Responsible for the coordination and execution of the EHS standard for contractor management and compliance to local legislation and permits in these topics.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business management discipline;
  • At least 5 years of experience in contract management or related, for example procurement;
  • Excellent relation and contract management skills, preferably in a technical related service contract environment,
  • Strong coaching, influencing and listening skills;
  • Target driven;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to influence and communicate with all levels of the organization, from shop floor to senior management;
  • Passion for Lean/ Continuous Improvement;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
