Eaton’s IS VEH Technology division is currently seeking a EHS & Facilities Campus Manager. This position is bases at our Mobility Group HQ in Galesburg, MI.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

Provides environmental, health, safety, and security leadership to the Galesburg, Michigan campus. Individual is accountable for: establishing EHS objectives and targets; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements, and; ensuring documents are available in the local languages. Position is responsible for: maintaining site ISO/OHSAS certifications; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions; directing actions during crises; site security, creating a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. Additionally, as Facilities Manager you will execute responsibilities as the manager of the facilities team and define operating budget (including capital) and monitors performance against budget.

Additional Responsibilities:

EHS:

  • Lead the environmental health, safety, and security strategy and operations at the Galesburg (Michigan), Anderson (Indiana) and Brampton (Ontario) sites.
  • Responsible for overseeing management of the MESH system through EHS team members within the organization.
  • Responsible for site emergency response and contractor management
  • Drives alignment and execution of global safety expectations with the site
  • Monitors internal/external regulations/standards to help guide the site toward continued compliance (MESH, EHS, ISD, TS, OSHA, ISO etc.).

Facilities:

  • Manage operating budget for the facility (~$4.5M)
  • Define and maintain a facilities management strategy focused on sustainability, work space optimization, and building functionality
  • Support the product line and testing initiatives for growth, innovation, and sustainment.

General:

  • Primary point of communication with the Galesburg community as it relates to onsite events
  • Leads the site leadership team and all employee meetings
  • Continually partners with site HR generalist in order to: support the creation and enforcement of site policies, drive development and goal setting for the generalist, conduct recurring 1:1 meetings, facilitate community and internal engagement (i.e. employee survey, leadership roundtables, etc.)

Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Five (5+) or more years of experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety related role within an industrial or corporate or commercial environment
  • Two (2+) or more years of experience in a facilities management related role within an industrial or corporate or commercial environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Must be currently located within a 50-mile radius of the working location (Galesburg, MI) to be considered. Active-duty military are exempt from this geographical limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or Science from an accredited university
  • Five (5+) or more years of experience directly managing EHS, Facilities or similar teams in a large global operation
