Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the facility inside and outside. Restrooms, common space, break rooms, offices, and conference room cleaning are managed by this position. Additionally, the lawn maintenance, landscaping, roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and snow removal also are part of the work supervised by this position.

Manages the performance of the internal and external grounds crews.

Inspects and follows up on all activities completed by the internal and external grounds keepers.

Grades and done safely and that all safe work practices are followed assess the work for completeness, timeliness, and quality.

Tracks performance and develop and displays key performance indicators for the work.

Makes sure PPE is worn and the proper PPE is available.

Manages the planting of grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.

Manages the watering of the lawn and shrubs during dry periods. Manage the removal of snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots.

Manages the repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment.

Ensures clean comfort stations, offices workshop areas, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping, and polishing.

Supervises the cleaning of the facility. Make daily inspections on the custodial work and grade assess the work for completeness, timeliness, and quality.

Track performance and develop and display key performance indicators for the custodial work.

Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns (e.g., downed trees, limbs, fences, etc.).

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.

Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.

Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals.

At least five years of experience in Landscape Maintenance Supervision.

At least five years of experience in Custodial Supervision.

BA in Business or other related field.

This position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and drug screening and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Must be able to attain TS/SCI clearance.

Working conditions are subject to extreme temperature and weather conditions. Work conditions may be inconvenienced by dust, dirt, fumes, or flying objects (grass). Remaining work is indoor. Some on call or off hours work required to complete some of the work. In order to complete work and not interrupt the NGA mission off hours will be used.
