Senior Maintenance Technician

The primary function of this role is under minimal supervision, performs expert level mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s manuals, diagrams, schematics and sketches.

Shift Hours: 7AM-3:30PM

  1. Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing equipment in operation to determine root cause of problem; dismantling to gain access to and remove/replace defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems
  2. Diagnose and repair issues over wide range of CNC mills, lathes, hydraulic presses, vacuum furnaces, drills, welding equipment, etc.
  3. Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and / or reliability of equipment.
  4. Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
  5. May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks.
  6. Leads and participates in CI activities--processes, results and cost savings using CI tools and methodology. Complies with 5S+ and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 8 years of experience in maintenance industry
  • OR Associates degree with a Technical focus and 6 years of related experience in specific industry
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.”
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Experience in troubleshooting repairs, precision alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment.

    - Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.

    - Experience in electrical troubleshooting, use of multimeters, precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.

    - Background in machining, metal working and welding machines
