What Will You Do?

You will be responsible for establishing outside maintenance vendors and agreements to maintain Ashley Distribution equipment. Coordinate preventive and no preventive repairs through said vendors and set up and sustain rental tractor and trailer vendors. Coordinate payment of outside vendors. Accountable for building and maintaining relationships with external vendors regarding equipment and maintenance of Ashley Distribution equipment.


Responsibilities

We are researching and setting up Maintenance Vendors at remote locations that will maintain our tractors and trailers.

Set up PM and equipment repairs at outside vendors (per Ashley PM process/intervals).

Research new or needed changes in drop lot vendors (trailer parking) and review vendor parking agreements. Oversee current drop lot locations and resolve problems.

Travel when necessary (roughly 12 times per year) to set up or review outside maintenance locations.

Manage Ashley Breakdown Desk personnel that are taking driver/vendor breakdown calls and oversee Asset coordinator position.

Answer phone calls for breakdowns as the need arises for a backup.

Track breakdown frequency and report trends to Maintenance Operations Manager.

Review, approve and distribute invoices for payment.

Set up rental Vendors.

Make employment decisions and recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.

Coordinate and manage employees’ work by directing team members to meet the area’s goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.

Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring, and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan, and implement employee training and skill development activities.

Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.

Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.

Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.

What Do You Need?

Associate Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience Required

four years’ supervisory or maintenance management experience, Required
