Job Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Support Technician are to provide first and second level support to customers (internal and external) via phone and email to solve equipment or software issues. Supported products included Biomark/Allflex/Agrident handheld and stationary RFID readers. This role tracks and coordinates RMAs from customer support inquiries, receiving equipment RMAs, repair or maintenance, and equipment returns or replacement to customers.

Additional responsibilities include configuration of Biomark network devices including cellular and satellite modems, ethernet or serial devices, and networked data collection software. This position requires some knowledge of the fish and wildlife conservation fields and an understanding of our company Animal Health Aqua North America brand of products.

Key Competencies:

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting plus in-office or field repair/replacement of RFID monitoring systems.

  • Providing phone/email support to internal and external customers for RFID reader systems.

  • RMA tracking through the Post-Sales team support tracking software and MAH CRM software.

  • Coordination of support tickets with the Post-Sales Support team.

  • Coordination of project data for state, federal, tribal, and private entities.

  • Assistance in development of technical reports.

Scope & Context:

  • This position is an individual contributor role on the Post-Sales Support team reporting to the NORAM Post-Sales Support Lead.

Qualifications:

Desired Education

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience troubleshooting/repairing modern technical devices or military experience.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • High proficiency with computers, operating systems, networks, and wide array of electronic devices.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP network infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of RFID, IOT, M2M systems and principals.

  • The ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to problem solve on-the-fly.

  • Strong desire to learn new skills and continually improve processes within the team setting.

  • Ability to work as part of a fast paced, growing team in a developing industry.

  • Results oriented and able to work independently with modest direct supervision.

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the US and Canada.

  • Possess a valid driver license and passport.
