Electronic Maintenance Technician II (RIS): Tyndall Aerial Targets

Amentum is seeking an Electronic-Maintenance Technician II to provide support to our government customer under the Aerial Targets Contract at Tyndall AFB, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • RIS: Communications systems, data link systems, radar systems, destruct systems, computer controlled console systems, displays, ground stations, RF systems and tower mounted equipment, range instrumentation, fiber optics and other equipment assigned to the aerial targets contract.
  • Utilize test equipment to certify operation and troubleshoot systems for example: 915 MHz Test Sets, DLS, DLSr, Destruct Systems, etc.
  • Must maintain an active CompTIA A+ or higher cyber security certification.
  • Assists higher technical level personnel in the development and performance of depot repairs associated with FSAT, RIS and SSAT.
  • Performs Organizational and Intermediate (O&I) type maintenance and repairs to aircraft, targets, radar, COMSEC material and equipment handle and other associated equipment in the Aerial Targets contract.
  • Typical work may include: Operates, inspects, repairs, maintains, services, rebuilds, modifies, and troubleshoots FSAT, SSAT, GRDCS, and Range Communications.
  • Applies technical knowledge to perform duties through the use of manufacturer manuals, technical orders, regulations and COTS publications and other written documentation. Assists in the development of modifications, proofing of technical orders and/or other updating of documentation as required.
  • Maintains maintenance records and enters maintenance actions in aircraft form and/or automated records. Provides technical data for completion of AFTO Form 22s, QDRs, MDRs, etc.
  • Provides technical guidance and training to equal or lower-level personnel. Performs aircraft maintenance and other duties, related tasks within their classifications as assigned by a Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Engineering or similar discipline. Management may allow work experience to be substituted for degree depending on the type and length of experience.
  • Will be required to perform work as a tower climber.
  • Overtime, weekend and TDY work may be required.
  • Must possess or obtain an active CompTIA A+ or higher cyber security certification within 90 days of start date.
  • Must obtain all security clearances and background checks required.

Desired Experience:

  • Operation and maintenance of the TPS-75, or other ground radar.
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Project, Power Point, Word, Excel. Direct experience with computer aided design software such as Visio or AutoCAD.
  • Hands-on experience in telecommunications, AATTCS, computers, computer networks, command and control systems, facility management, fiber optics, video systems, UHF/VHF radios, analog/digital flight termination, electrical engineering, Link 16 and other range systems.
