Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician assists other craftsperson’s (e.g., mechanical, electrical, building, plumbing and other trades) in the execution of tasks assigned to them; able to work alone to execute tasks that are within the skill and expertise of the incumbent but which generally do not call for the certificate required of the various craftsperson’s; performs routine maintenance/repair of electrical systems and appliances; plumbing and heating systems, minor repairs to furniture, moldings, and window sashes, painting and plastering, carpet tile installation, repair, and cleaning, and performs a variety of other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older, have completed secondary school or obtained a GED
- Have a minimum of five years’ experience in general building maintenance and/or mechanical repair
- Must be able to perform physical labor and moderate heavy lifting
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance
