Crane Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Your dedication to your craft is a valuable asset and Amentum hires people just like you! Without overhead cranes and jibs this manufacturing site can't move sheets of steel around the plant to make product.

Your 5+ years of experience troubleshooting cranes and hoists is will be put to the test maintaining the 237 cranes! Safety is number one - especially when working anywhere from 6 to 30 ft above ground.

Crane certification isn't required to start but we will help you become certified. This is mostly a first shift position but occasionally there will be some off-shift work.

Within Amentum, our group provides facilities and production maintenance services for our clients’ industrial, manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, and commercial sites worldwide.

We run our own crews of Production Maintenance Techs, CNC Service Techs, Automation Techs, Industrial Electricians, Maintenance Mechanics, Industrial HVAC Techs, Logistics / Crib Management, Planner/ Schedulers, Supervisors and safety professionals inside our customers’ facilities to keep their infrastructure operating smoothly.

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Five years of experience maintaining overhead cranes, jib hoists, conveyors, or related equipment in an industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
• Must be able to work a mix of shifts to work on cranes during non peek production times

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical, Industrial Mechanical, HVAC or a related skilled trade
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing 480V 3 phase
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical/mechanical issues on cranes and hoists
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing VFDs
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing Allen Bradley PLCs such as RX Logic, Micro Logic etc

Other Attributes:
• Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
