Casual Custodial Service Assistant

Job Summary

AMENTUM Housing and Leasing services (HLS) has an opening to join the Logistics team as a Casual Custodial Service Assistant. Reporting to the Operations Lead - Logistics, the position supports the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap (JDFPG) in town facility by providing a cleaning service to its residential properties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General housekeeping duties
• Residential property cleaning that includes manual handling
• Cleaning of household furniture, whitegoods, etc.
• Assist in the provision of on-the job training
• Work to ensure that Safety is an integral part of everyday activities
• Undertake all work in safe and professional manner
• Report any incidents to management as a priority
• Use of computer systems to record and plan work tasks
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to be flexible
• Work as part of a team
• Assist in other areas of the logistics area from time to time as required
• Work to ensure that safety is an integral part of everyday activities
• Undertake all duties and tasks as stated in the Vesta Statement of Work (SOW)
• Other duties as directed by the Vesta management team

• Current Drivers’ Licence
• Practical/previous experience with custodial/housecleaning/housekeeping
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Good communication skills – verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete assigned tasks
• Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse issues and develop solutions to problems
• Must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain a NV1 clearance

• Certificate III/II/I in Hospitality
• Certificate III/II/I in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations)
• Certificate III/II/I in Laundry Operations
• Certificate III/II in Health Support Services (Laundry Support Services
• Previous experience within SAP
