Job Description

The Brand and Customer Manager (BCM) is responsible for developing and executing effective branding strategies that will enhance brand perception and market position for a selection of the broad portfolio of Established Brands in SSA. Established Brands is still a growth portfolio, thus the BCM is expected to devise growth strategies to support differentiated in-field promotion. The BCM will also manage and improve the customer experience across all touchpoints to drive customer loyalty and increase sales. The BCM will manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve marketing objectives.

Primary Responsibility

  • Responsible for growth of the Established Brands portfolio.

  • Responsible for driving direct interaction as well as digital marketing campaigns across therapeutic areas and channels.

  • Efficiently managing a portfolio of mature products across a diverse range of therapeutic areas.

  • Focus on ideation and governance of campaigns with a keen focus on enabling synergies between markets, optimizing capabilities and good understanding of markets’ landscape, competitors and new digital trends and evolution.

  • Work closely with several stakeholders across the entire internal cross-functional team in the cluster to create and deliver marketing strategy through facilitating marketing campaigns, and ensure campaigns and projects are properly executed, optimized, measured and reported.

  • Responsible for creating and assessing business cases, measuring the success of campaigns (ROI) and implementing measures for continuous optimization and promoting the switch to digitalization of processes in the marketing environment.

  • Includes project management within different marketing channels e.g., email, Social Media and websites, as well as external stakeholder and scientific leader engagement.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in health science, marketing, business or commerce.

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in concept development, implementation and control of marketing and digital activities at a pharmaceutical company or related industry.

  • Experience as a sales representative is a strong differentiator.

  • Experience working across different therapeutic areas including Respiratory, Dermatology, Cardiovascular, Pain, Bone, CNS and in complex business environment including innovative and generic brands

  • Highly proficient in data driven project management marketing initiatives.

  • Valid understanding of customer engagement opportunities and strategies in the digital landscape

  • Creative and have a good understanding of customers’ needs and new digital trends and evolution with a core drive to innovate and experiment with marketing campaigns.

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems and drive change.

  • Solid experience in guiding teams, with and without disciplinary responsibility.

  • Flexible and dynamic to adapt and succeed in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with an open mind-set.
