What you will do-

The employee must work 100% at a Stryker office or business site. You will direct, plan, and oversee the Inventory Control Team, which includes, Material Handlers, Field Inventory Coordinators, Order and Inventory Control Coordinator and a Service Process Lead. You will be involved in system maintenance, inventory control and accuracy, root cause analysis, physical inventory, supplier packaging, labeling, and manufacturing engineering initiatives impacting inventory storage. You will lead the development and implementation of specific strategies and projects related to cost reduction, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for material handling and inventory in support of overall divisional business objectives.

  • Anticipate line down and component shortages and partner with production leaders and purchasing and demand planning to avoid increased customer downtime

  • Keeps informed of all new developments relative to materials and makes recommendations designed to reduce costs and improve systems

  • Plans, organizes, and sets goals for the inventory control team to best utilize personnel to achieve long and short-term goals

  • Partner with IS/Accelerate to reduce the number of discrepancies between systems as it relates to inventory (Service Max, SAP and SFDC).

  • Influence and partner across Service Depot, Kenco, Field Service and Business Unit leadership to create standards around ordering practices, and trunk stock, component asset management

  • Develop and implement cycle count programs for inventory coverage across the Service Depot, Kenco and Field Service

  • Responsible for material flow between Kenco, GQO, depot repair teams, and field service

  • Manage the relationship and performance of Kenco’s on time shipments, receipts and expenses and monthly billings.

  • Sets overall group goals and priorities and evaluates subordinate’s performance against those goals and priorities.

  • Recruits, develops and engages inventory control personnel

  • Responsible for inventory control group complying with company policies and corrective actions

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the support of business and process improvements including but not limited to 6S, lean manufacturing initiatives, etc.

  • Evaluate employee performance through various means, such as talent reviews and common annual reviews, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures. Work collaboratively to develop and drive accountability for meaningful performance objectives

  • Achieve employee engagement by being responsible and accountable for actions promoting an environment that fosters personal and professional growth and development

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Engineering or a related field

  • 8 years of experience in years of Materials management or related experience to include 3 years of experience leading teams
