Student Services Specialist

The Student Services Specialist (Professional Services Specialist IV) is a key member of the University One Stop team, who works in collaboration with One Stop employees and other staff members within the University to provide customer service excellence and resolve student questions and inquiries related to registration, financial aid, transcripts, grade recalculations, University programs and offerings and related areas. Oversight includes training, scheduling and supervising the work of clerical staff, part-time workers and student assistants. This position requires travel as needed. This employee works Saturdays and evenings as part of their regular work schedule.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and one year of professional experience in an institution of higher education providing student support services is required. Internal applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute full-time related Kean work experience on a year-for-year basis. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Prior experience working in a University Registrar’s Office or similar setting; experience with a CRM or new technologies; and knowledge of Ellucian Colleague/Datatel and Image/WebNow is preferred. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent customer service skills. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays as a regularly scheduled work day.
