The Global Collaboration Lead is responsible for the Coordination, process improvement, and execution (e.g., timing/scheduling, material preparation, and decision/issue cascading & follow-through) of three key processes that operate within GSC, and the broader BMS organization as a whole. These process are :

  • S&OP process execution

  • Short term exception management (of issues), STEM.

  • Resource allocation of executional support for the business units

With these responsibilities the Global Collaboration Lead’s responsibilities include execution of the Pre-S&OP meeting to document Supply Chain gaps, resolutions, and recommendations for Executive meeting(s). Secondly, ensuring issue management is undertaken in a rigorous way and that a summation of these issues is published to senior leaders within the organization on a regular basis. In addition, they lead a team that provides operational support to the regional Executive Directors who in turn, are partnering with the various regional commercial business units to ensure BMS is best serving our patients with medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the process and establish a seamless and systematic cadence, link, and flow of information between Pre-S&OP, Global S&OP and Executive S&OP meetings

  • Execute Pre-S&OP meeting, including generation of S&OP reports & metrics, documentation of Supply Chain gaps and resolutions, and documentation of recommendations and agenda for Executive meeting(s)

  • Coordinate Global & Executive S&OP meetings, including timing/scheduling, material preparation, and ensuring SC constraints are communicated clearly and early to define appropriate allocation decisions

  • Participate in global supply & demand reviews, understand how changes in one market may have implications on supply/demand in others, and communicate these risks in a timely fashion

  • Ensure, in partnership with Demand & Supply Planning, the overall Plan quality by driving best practices with S&OP and actions to improve forecast accuracy and related metrics

  • Participate in Demand Consensus Meetings

  • Ensure supply issues and resolutions are cascaded through necessary forums based on defined escalation pathways to enable proactive and efficient risk management

  • Provide ‘issue status’ reports, to executive leaders in both GPS and the commercial organization highlighting progress to resolution and major risks associated with critical issues that are or have the potential too, disrupt product supply.

  • Lead regular reviews of ‘supply issues’ tracking progress and holding teams accountable for the timely delivery of solutions and resolution.

  • Lead the team of ‘operational execution’ colleagues that provides operation support to the regional business unit leaders. Triage allocation of resources across the regions to assist with aggregation of demand signals / escalation needs and decomposition of information across market clusters.

  • Manage the co-ordination of projects across the team, such as ‘launch process optimization (as part of Project Clarity’ and segregation management.

  • Participate in global allocation decision making, using knowledge of global supply and demand trends / forecasts to inform allocation decisions

  • Participate in strategic portfolio segmentation decision-making, using knowledge of historic supply chain gaps and areas for improvement

  • Engage in monthly review with OTC Team

  • Ensure that project objectives are clear and executed according to plan

  • Attend Regional Finance/Budget Review to ensure adherence of applicable teams to budget plans

  • Facilitating the prioritization of supply allocation when demand exceeds supply

  • Identifying gaps in the existing S&OP process & developing plans for continuous improvement that align with business priorities

  • Training & coaching all stakeholders ensuring clear expectations around roles & responsibilities within the S&OP and STEM processes

  • Daily engagement with the Demand Planning Organization assisting with the development & execution of their role priorities including senior ownership of the demand planning tools & process

  • Collaborates with CPSO Business Unit Heads or via forums to gain alignment on business priorities, performance, challenges especially related to GS&OP/ES&OP

  • Full understanding regarding how the forecast impacts financial & operational planning & performance

  • Project Management & Change Transformation capabilities

  • +15 years of experience leading End-to-End supply chain planning processes (i.e., demand/forecasting, supply/inventory planning, S&OP rollout/management) in a global /companywide leadership scale of S&OP/IBP execution and implementation

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, alignment and commitment from key stake holders

  • Strong presentation and business case development skills

  • Demonstrated team and cross-functional stakeholder leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams

  • Leading process excellence initiatives globally with focus on improving decision making, speed to action and strong focus on S&OP

  • Exceptional executive-level presentation skills in delivering timely and succinct messaging to inform and elicit decision making and/or consensus

  • Strong communication skills (Verbal, Presentation, Written) to communicate effectively with executive level leadership such as SVPs, VPs, GMs

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and make informed decisions under time pressure and strong negotiation skills

  • Experience in leading and building a high performing team, creating a culture of empowerment, innovation, inclusion and growth

  • Ability to lead with agility and adapt quickly to competing priorities while remaining focused

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
