You'll be the technical resource and point person interacting with clients, vendors, and senior management, to identify and resolve complex technical problems. Document and maintain the backup and restore processes, hardware and software2. Establish, document and maintain distributed storage backup and recovery standards, policies and procedures3. Develop recommendations regarding backup/recovery considerations: improved levels of protection, efficiencies and cost reductions.4. Execute backup and recovery procedures for database application code. Document and maintain the backup and restore processes, hardware and software5. Retain backups in accordance with contract requirements or service offering7. Retrieve archived tapes and restore required files and data sets8. Monitor and report on status (miss/fail) of backup application scheduled backups during normal IBM business hours10. Implement scheduled backup and recovery procedures as prioritized by the customer (for example, file set restore), so as to avoid impacting scheduled operations11. Perform catalog management, backup and recovery of data stored on storage devices12. Execute backup and recovery procedures for user data files. Document and maintain the backup and restore processes, hardware and software13. Provide a recovery procedure for restoring the image to a previous level within a mutually agreed time frame14. TSM client state & operational monitoring & alerting15. TSM client issue response & resolution including PMR activities16. TSM client configuration & tuning17. TSM client upgrades & enhancements18.
