The Defense Group of Leidos has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician to be part of the LEIDOS team to support ARIES INSCOM G6 contract which provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. This position supports the JMICS system at 307th MI BN, Vicenza, Italy.

Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Perform preventive and remedial maintenance and user support

  • Provide on-site equipment repair; system update, replacement/installation/removal, system operations and logistics, scheduled maintenance, system administration, information assurance, IA vulnerability management compliance, approval to operate, FISMA documentation, and IT system status updates to provide mission critical services for JMICS and C-JWICS.

  • Provide Tier I and II support at remote field and garrison sites.

  • May perform server and desktop installation, basic cabling, systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.

  • Perform desktop system management involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Ability to operate independently with demanding customers at remote/ austere sites, deployed or garrison locations.

  • Ability to load cryptographic keys and perform troubleshooting on many types of hardware and software.

  • DoD 8750 IA Certification at IAT II: CompTIA Security+ Continuing Education (CE)

  • DoD 8750 Computer Environment (CE) Certification, such as CompTIA Server +, Cisco ICND1 or equivalent certification.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Valid US passport and ability to travel and work OCONUS; able to obtain SOFA eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2016/2019, VMWare (ESXi) and Server R2 platforms.

  • MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator on Exchange 2010
