Instructional Designer – Multiple Positions

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of the School of Online Education, the Instructional Designer (Professional Services Specialist III) is responsible for providing instructional design expertise for the development and support of academic courses and specialized educational programs for online and hybrid learning classrooms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing faculty training in instructional design and pedagogy; serving as project supervisor for online and hybrid course development; independently performing professional work of some difficulty using established policies, procedures, precedents and guidelines; and performing related work as required. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. Some travel to other Kean locations is also required.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in instructional design is required. A combination of two years of teaching experience in higher education and instructional design is also acceptable. A Master’s degree in a related field and experience developing online courses is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of learning management systems and emerging tools as related to teaching and learning. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, consultation skills and customer service skills are essential.
