The Department of Children and Families, Office of Education has an immediate need for an English Teacher at the Burlington Campus, located in Mount Holly, NJ.

This position plans, executes and evaluates the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class or classes; performing these duties exercising independent judgment and with a comprehensive knowledge of department rules, regulations and policies; does related work.

Please note that schools within OOE have a 12-month school year.

SPECIAL NOTE: Possibility of being an itinerant position.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Position requires possession of a valid standard teacher certification or valid Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) issued by the NJ Department of Education as a Teacher of English.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience with teaching special needs and/or at-risk youth preferred.

NOTE: Ability to physically lift, move and position students as needed.

LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

SALARY: $58,031.09 - $94,376.42 commensurate with certificate and experience.
