What you will do:

Educates and demonstrates the benefits of key products to clinical professors, teaching-hospital faculty, residents, and students. Provides medical information to internal/external health sources such as the sales force, outside health professions, public, and government. Explores and identifies sites for clinical trial in all stages of development. Coordinates continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for graduate physicians, pharmacists, and scientists. Responds to unsolicited inquiries to establish and/or further the knowledge and understanding of marketed products and related topics.

Responsibilities:

  • Significant industry-related experience demonstrating the ability to problem-solve, manage projects, people and prioritize their workload
  • Product and procedural expertise related to HCP education programs
  • Manage resources that will create and deliver an annual educational strategy
  • Lead team and drive collaboration with key opinion leaders to design educational materials
  • Develop new methods to increase effectiveness including online education and applications
  • Foster and lead team collaboration with broader Medical Education/product marketing/sales training, etc
  • Set direction and shape future needs for a Medical Education program
  • Anticipate development of new Medical Education platform, analyze needs and priorities based on business needs and budget allocation
  • Develop and execute Medical Education strategies based on data/input following program execution
  • Develop and support strategy and vision (short to long term)
  • Manage Medical Education offering in accordance with P&L requirement
  • Define plan and prioritize investments
  • Manage KOL network as well as “up and coming” thought leaders
  • Mentor team members toward excellence
  • Continuously look for excellence in the development in Medical Education offering
  • Develop and adapt Medical Education programs to customer needs and business priorities
  • Actively participate to the long-term vision of the department
  • Articulate a communication strategy per media channels impacts
  • Define desired communications outcomes consistent with Medical Education strategy

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of work experience required
  • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years medical device or Medical Education experience preferred
  • 2+ years of people management experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
