Kean faculty members are recognized for teaching distinction, scholarship and service. We are excited to grow our faculty and invite applications for academic year 2024-2025. Faculty positions are ten-month, full-time, tenure-track assignments at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, effective for the fall 2024 semester. Teaching assignments may be assigned at any of Kean’s New Jersey locations – Union, Ocean, Princeton, Skylands or for Kean Online and may include day, evening and weekend courses. Evening hours are required for teaching graduate course assignments.
All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and an on-going program of research and publication or creative and performance activity. Participation in curriculum development, student advisement and service at the departmental, college, university and community level is required. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is also required, consistent with University guidelines.
College of Business and Public Management, Department of Criminal Justice and Public Service and Administration
Criminal Justice - Cybersecurity/Crime Analysis - to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses supporting criminal justice and computer science studies related to cybersecurity, cybercrime and crime analysis. The course offerings in cybersecurity are multidisciplinary, with concentrations for the Criminal Justice undergraduate degree as well as a minor for Computer Science/Information Technology majors. Teaching responsibilities will include both core and elective courses. This position requires a commitment to collegiality, innovation in teaching and learning, professional development and academic citizenship. Faculty are expected to participate in academic advisement, student mentoring, academic assessment and other activities.
Qualifications: Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Criminal Justice, Criminology or a related field with a specialization(s) in cybersecurity, cybercrime and/or crime analysis is required. ABD candidates will be considered with degree completion by September 1, 2024. A Juris Doctorate is not considered the appropriate terminal degree for this position.
