Training Specialist
Job Summary
Amentum is actively seeking a Training Specialist to provide Interactive Multimedia Courseware Development. The position will be located in Virginia Beach, VA aboard Information Warfare Training Command Virginia Beach (IWTC VB) located at NAS Oceana, Dam Neck Annex.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Establish course content and objectives
- Conduct training, focusing primarily on emergency operations and related subjects
- Develop and revise courses using instructional system design & development (ISD) methodology
- Use comprehensive knowledge of teaching and learning techniques and methods
- Demonstrate presentation skills and deliver an effective, professional training presentation
- Update course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
- Evaluate effectiveness of training/course by observing student performance and student application of techniques/skills
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university emphasizing education, adult learning or teaching and learning technologies and 2-3 years as an instructor in adult education, which includes course development, or equivalent
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to operate application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs
- Position may require travel
- Active secret clearance
