The Department of Children and Families, Office of Education has an immediate need for a Teacher at the Bergen Campus with one or more certificates in the following areas:

This position plans, executes, and evaluates the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class or classes; performing these duties exercising independent judgment and with a comprehensive knowledge of department rules, regulations, and policies; does related work. This position will be located in Paramus, NJ.

Please note that schools within OOE have a 12-month school year.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience teaching special needs and/or at-risk youth preferred.

EDUCATION: Possession of a valid standard teacher certification or valid Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) issued by the NJ Department of Education in one or more of the following areas:

* Teacher of Students with Disabilities

* Teacher of the Handicapped (K-12)

* Teacher of Mathematics

* Teacher of English

* Teacher of Science

* Elementary School Teacher

NOTE: Ability to physically lift, move and position students as needed.

LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

COVID-19 VACCINATION/TESTING REQUIREMENT: Per Executive Order 253, all State employees are required to be vaccinated by October 18, 2021 or undergo frequent testing. Please do not submit your vaccination card at this time.

SALARY: $58,031.09 - $94,376.42 commensurate with certificate and experience.
