The Department of Children and Families (DCF), Office of Education, has an immediate need for a qualified Teacher. Location will be based on where candidates reside and where there is a need in one of our schools. This position has the possibility of being an itinerant position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position plans, executes, and evaluates the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class, or classes; performing these duties exercising independent judgment and with a comprehensive knowledge of department rules, regulations, and policies; does related work.

Please note that schools within OOE have a 12-month school year.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: These positions require possession of a valid standard Teacher Certification or valid Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) issued by the NJ Department of Education in:

* Teacher of Career and Technical Education (CTE)

SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience teaching special needs and/or at-risk students is preferred.

NOTE: Ability to physically lift, move, and position students as needed.

LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

SALARY: $58,031.09 - $94,376.42 commensurate with certificate and experience.
