Job Summary:

The Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM is seeking a motivated, formerly rated individual to design realistic operational level scenarios for Command and Control training events hosted by the 705th Combat Training Squadron (Air Combat Command).

The DMOC mission is to operate a synthetic training environment for interactive simulation across a distributed network. Primarily concerned with Command and Control tactics, techniques and procedures, the DMOC also connects to Research and Development distributed nodes, is a regular partner for Fleet Synthetic Training and Marine Air Wing training, conducts events with DoD FVEY partner nations and conducts Air Defense Artillery Fire Control Officer/Assistant (ADAFCO) certification training for the US Army ADAFCO course.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Primary duties in support of DMOC include producing scenarios and constructive entities in a variety of "best in breed" environmental generators (Modern Air Combat Environment, Next Generation Threat System, Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation, etc). Developing required documentation for the exercise to include Air Operations Directives, Air Tasking Orders, Airspace Control Orders, Specific Instructions, Joint Prioritized Target Lists, etc. Requires indepth knowledge of military aviation, military planning and military processes.

  • Designs and implements simulation solutions for company modeling applications.
  • Analyzes test results to configure model parameters and materials.
  • Identifies development problems and provides technical solutions backed by analysis.
  • Develops product documentation for designs and test procedures.
  • Generates and maintains diagrams for simulation hardware.
  • Develops engineering calculation programs to support simulations.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years rated service in a combat coded aircraft and instructor qualification in that weapons system.
  • Current active Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of DMO or Weapons Systems Trainer experience.

Desired Qualification:

  • Air Force Weapons Officer or similar qualification (Top Gun, Strike Lead etc).
