Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a dedicated Lead Test Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground near Baltimore, MD supporting the Army's PEO IEWS Program Manager for Electronic Warfare and Cyber systems. This position is contingent upon contract award.


The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter specialist leading lower-grade personnel in providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements. Candidate will independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and make minor adaptations and modifications. Provides independent and professional support on portions of complex projects. Provides professional engineering support with increasing independent accomplishment. Develops, maintains, upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Writes, implements and reports status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Provides testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.

Responsiblities include:

  • Participating in the planning, conducting and reporting of system-level technical testing at the Central Technical Support Facility (CTSF), APG, and Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and system contractor facilities.
  • Assisting in coordinating and conducting functional tests for Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs) in support of the PEO IEWS.
  • Assisting in summarizing, documenting, and reporting various C5ISR/TOC test data and results to the Technical Director, CTSF and Product Manager, Tactical Operations Centers (PdM TOCs).
  • Participating in TOC working groups and materiel development meetings to assist in developing coordinated fielding and testing schedules.
  • Assisting in developing and producing Test Design Plans for TOC testing and other PEO IEWS programs and transformation initiatives.
  • Participating in all phases of risk management

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess a SECRET level security clearance.
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline. (Direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level - i.e. 12 years in lieu of a Master's degree)
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively complex experience in testing of complex mechanical, electromechanical and electrical/electronic systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in DOTMLPF efforts, Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Cyber Capability Integration and Development System (CCIDS) highly desired.
