Eatons CPD PCD Division is currently seeking for a (VA/VE) - Senior Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Haina facility+ Lead and execute Cost Out projects and/or Value Analysis-Value Engineering Projects (VA/VE). Increase value through cost elimination.+ Identify waste opportunities across the Value Stream: suppliers / materials, logistics, product, mfg. process, expenses / supplies, services and others.+ Proficiently use of EBS tools such as: LEAN/Pro-Launch/EQS/6Sigma to identify, manage and complete projects.+ Effectively communicates to stakeholders the projects progression.Responsibilities:+ Work with the Plant/Department managers to develop and support the Cost out Strategy for the sites (Profit Plan / Strat. Plan).+ Use his/her technical/specialized expertise to identify and execute cost out projects.+ Use statistical / finance information to validate cost savings opportunities.+ Provide technical soundness of design decisions and products changes to facilitate manufacturing, reduce cost, substitute material, improve quality and accommodate special customer needs.+ Request and maintains on-track the capital spending/appropriation and expenses required for the project.+ Supports the organizational capacity, training and development plan to achieve the required level of knowledge of the product & processes changes.+ Use of Pro-Launch on new product development and product line transfer.+ Ensures product quality/performance is not compromised.+ Coordinates approval / product lab test / PPAP requirements / certification requirements+ Participates in negotiations with suppliers, evaluating quotes for parts, tools and services+ Manage purchasing budget and costs as required to accomplish target savings.+ Prevent and correct manufacturing issues that affect product function ability+ Establish a liaison within feeders plants and suppliers to ensure actions taken to improve quality and service are sustained for the assigned projects.+ Report out performance in the Cost Out Data Base and other tracking methods Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS):+ Execute 100% of monthly safety activities assigned, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator.+ Assist and completed all EHS training as required. CalificacionesQualifications:+ Bachelor degree in Industrial, Electronic, Design, Electromechanical Engineering, or similar careers.+ Minimum experience of 3 5 years in similar positions.+ Bilingual: English/Spanish.+ Computer knowledge: MS-Office, MS-Project, MRP / AS400, CAD tools (Pro-Eng, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent and drawing interpretation skills), Minitab (statistic sowftware).+ Proven knowledge in Project Management, Process Control, Lean/6-Sigma tools (green/black belt certified), ISO9001 Auditor (CQE Certification +), APICS, Capital/Budget administration.We make what matters work.
