This division is the innovation engine of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients.<br><br>We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and curious Research Scientist to join the Lentivirus and Hematopoietic Stem Cell (HSC) Engineering Team within NIBR’s Immuno-Oncology & Hematology (IOH) Research Department. <br><br>We are dedicated to innovating the next generation of ex vivo engineered HSC therapies for genetic disease, that can be treated with HSC transplantation. The discoveries we make can contribute directly to improving efficacy and accessibility of gene therapies to patients. <br><br>As a key contributor in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in the design, production, efficacy and safety of novel lentiviral vectors for therapeutic use. <br><br>Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br><br>•Conduct and optimize experiments independently; record, interpret, and communicate data promptly;<br>•Contribute to viral design, production and analysis activities at research scale;<br>•Perform ddPCR, flow cytometry and western blot analysis to assess virus quality, virus transduction efficiency and expression of gene therapy products;<br>•Establish and perform in vitro cell based assays to support gene therapy research;<br>•Present data in meetings and contribute to discussion;<br>•Maintain and organize reagents and stock solutions.<br><br>[#video#https://youtu.be/B88bPEKkDI4{#400,300#}#/video#]
