Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction, leadership, and clarity around goals and priorities to the Identity & Access Management TEAM
  • Lead, coordinate and educate Business Units with the Identity & Access Management processes and IT best practices
  • Resolves Identity and Access Management requests or incidents, and answers questions within SLAs while providing the highest level of customer service
  • Provides Service Ownership for service offerings within Identity & Access Management’s service portfolio
  • Updates and maintains process documentation
  • Directs the daily operations of the department, analyzing workflows, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
  • Effectively coordinates and communicates with IT teams, business owners, and Management during production impacting events
  • Holds self accountable for clear understanding of mission and goals for role and department.
  • Achieves goals and helps to create an environment that fosters team commitment and employee engagement
  • Supports practices, policies and operating procedures and ensures alignment to departmental objectives and strategy
  • Supports a work environment in which people are able to perform to the best of their abilities
  • Holds self accountable for technical abilities, productive results and leadership attributes
  • Translates initiatives into actions through a thoughtful, organized and well-planned approach
  • Establishes measurement criteria and systems to track daily processes, implementation of new initiatives and value creation
  • Diagnose and resolve customer reported incidents and overall process defects; create process improvements and efficiencies
  • Provide support for special projects and or incidents
  • Perform internal checks and or reviews to ensure company policy and procedure are being followed
  • Display a consistent understanding of Compliance, and SOX requirements in order to assist in high profile or high priority escalations and demands
  • Work with external Vendors or Contractors to find solutions for complex IAM issues
  • Supports practices, policies and operating procedures and ensures alignment to departmental objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Identity & Access Management (IAM) & Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) experience
  • 4+ years of IT Leadership experience
  • 4+ Experience with access administration and governing tools such as Microsoft’s Identity Manager or similar tools
  • 4+ Experience with SOX, HIPPA, ITIL, Windows Server, Active Directory
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Ability to lead and conduct meetings with different Business Units
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree
  • Microsoft O365/M365/exchange experience
  • IAM Leadership experience in healthcare/insurance industry
  • Highly detail orientated
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities to ensure timely deliverables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including upper management

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
