Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all Enterprise Information Security functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

The role would be part of Enterprise Information Security business. The incumbent would be required to contribute in security projects and various automation & modernization solutions. The work requires a soid background in IT Security, Application Risk Management, Identity and Access Management, Single-SignOn Technology, Web Services Security and overall Product Management. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency by applying technology in new and innovative ways.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and enterprise security team to understand requirements and design/develop end to end solution
  • Develop and maintain high performance reusable code for healthcare applications and components including browser-based single page apps SPA, micro frontends, microservices and orchestrated workflow
  • Participate in all phases of software engineering lifecycle including Agile / Scrum methodology to deliver high quality software releases every 2 weeks & influence teams towards engineering best practices such as DevOps / CICD / Everything as a code
  • Applying object-oriented principles and recommended design patterns to create robust and scalable system designs
  • Define and drive improvements in the overall quality including automation, code coverage and inspection processes
  • Conduct code review and design review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high-quality standards
  • Mentor other developers on coding standards, problem solving, and application architecture as needed
  • Take E2E engineering delivery responsibility
  • Develop automated testing solutions
  • Working with stakeholders for software vulnerability assessment, secure design decisions, architecture development, helping with the optimal technical solution leveraging the best-in-class Identity and Access Management, API Management, security and cloud platforms across web, mobile and digital properties
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent Degree with 7 - 10 years of IT experience
  • Working experience with integrating third-party libraries and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
  • Self-motivated with strong communication/presentation skills and ability to work independently
  • Hands-on expertise in JavaScript, JS ES6, React, React Redux, HTML5, NodeJS and CSS
  • Knowledge of REST API, Microservices, UI Widgets
  • Knowledge of Opensource/NoSQL Database
  • Good understanding of Development processes and tools - Jenkins, GitHub
  • Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
  • Knowledge of Software Engineering Practices (Agile methodology, DevOps, SDLC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Automation tools and techniques like Chef, Puppet, etc.
