About the Role: The Analyst II-Engineering secures new NPA/NXX codes and creates CLLI codes for switches, POIs, ATMs and Routers, and other pieces of switching and non-switching equipment. Provides Iconnectiv database information as requested. Heavily involved in projects such as tandem replacements, switch decoms, etc. What You’ll Do: - Creation of CLLI Codes for new network sites and various pieces of switching and non-switching equipment. - Secure new NPA/NNX codes as requested. - Add, delete, or change, Windstream NXXs to meet the needs of the business including switch migrations, switch decoms, tandem changes, etc. - Manages specialized Windstream NXX, CLONES, and BIRRDS databases for clarity in daily in-house operations. - Provide in house information on Iconnectiv derived databases, i.e., LERG. - Written notifications provided to Translations, Billing, Customer Service, Network Operations, and other groups, of all NPA/NXX additions/deletions/changes to any LERG data. All notifications issued on a daily basis or a maximum of 1 week for all switches. - Issues Industry and customer specific memorandums relative to Windstream and Industry code changes. - (New NXXs, New Area Codes, New Switches, Splits/Overlays, Rate Center consolidations, etc.) - Secure, either pro-actively or on demand, new CLLIs for switches, DACs and POIs for Provisioning, Engineering and Network Operations. - Supports Sales and Marketing with translations of MSA geography for Rate Centers and NXX codes. - Conducts in-house training sessions for all new and existing employees and continuing education of all employees relative to Code Administration (CLLIs, NPA/NXXs, etc.). - Secure OCNs for newly certified states, or new categories of service. - Provide technical input to LNP managers regarding LRN matters related to the use of NXXs for routing and other NPAC code related activities. - Provide AOCN services for other vendors as contracted. Do You Have? - Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work well with others. - Must be able to manage vendors as well as internal resources to ensure timely completion of assigned projects. - Must be skilled in the use of PC, LAN/WAN, and general office software such as E-mail, Internet mail, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Must have knowledge of NPA/NXX administration, CLONES/CLLI code administration, and BIRRDS/LERG databases.
