Air Force Account Manager- Civil Engineering

Your Role and Responsibilities
Account Manager develops strong relationships with client leadership and are accountable for delivering account profitable revenue growth, and contract execution leveraging the full IBM Consulting portfolio and its ecosystem partners. They demonstrate subject matter expertise as they build a robust pipeline and drive the highest standards of quality and delivery excellence. Account Manager work with clients, project teams and business development executives to achieve growth across the IBM Consulting solution areas for the account.
The Account Manager builds client intemacy by applying deep knowledge of client’s specific needs, disruptions, and technological advances to facilitate client success. They drive eminence and differentiation in client pursuits using their knowledge of trends, regulatory environments, and strategic imperatives. Together with their understanding of IBM services and offerings, they create innovative industry/domain solutions that enable clients’ businesses to grow and drive profitable revenue growth for IBM.
The Account Manager balances the management of custom relationships, successful program delivery and leading of targeted opportunities/procurements to grow and expand the account. The Account Manager leads efforts in developing client deliverables such as a Requests For Information (RFI), Requests For Proposal (RFPs), and Statements Of Work (SOWs) or presentations with the Air Force Client, within a competitive market to ensuring customer success and IBM business and financial goals. The Account Manager will make decisions on the components that drive the deal strategy, managing possible tradeoffs to win the contract, with overall responsibility for the final winning proposal to the client.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Demonstrated experience with Air Force A4C, SAF Energy, Installations, and Environments (SAF/IE), Installation & Mission Support Center (IMSC), Air Force Civil Engineering Centers (AFCEC) and Base-level Mission Support Group.
- At least 10-years of domain project delivery experience with Air Force customer.
- At least 5-years experience in senior client relationship management, up to and including executive offices.
- At least 5-years experience in demonstrating knowledge of the Federal procurement process.
- Ability to articulate technical solutions and value proposition to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in consultative selling and analytical problem-solving skills.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional professional experience across additional departments within the Air Force.
- Experience in strategy development and account planning activities that align customer and industry objectives with solution and revenue growth objectives.
- Experience in delivery of technical or business focused presentations at industry conferences.
- Experience collaborating across matrixed organizations to collaborate with leaders across internal and external organizations for long-term relationship success.
- Demonstrated community leadership in capturing, developing and sharing industry and domain knowledge with team members to raise competencies.
- Demonstrated ability to build a diverse portfolio of delivery programs, expansion opportunities and new program opportunities with your client to cultivate a longer-term growth focus.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
