Overview

We are excited to bring eager, talented students on board and provide them with an unparalleled co-op experience. The Entegris Campus Program consists of real work experience, cross-functional learning and development opportunities, and a variety of social and volunteering events.

Entegris is looking for a dynamic, versatile co-op student to innovate new technologies focused on developing production equipment and corresponding products that are best-in-class for contamination control applications in the semiconductor and life science industries. This process includes ideation, research, intellectual property investigation, invention disclosure generation, design, prototyping, project management, and validation. The student will work with cross functional groups within Entegris as well as with vendors. This role is based in our Billerica, MA facility.



Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and review concepts, prototypes, designs, drawings, and technical specifications across various R&D groups
  • Engage with a variety of stakeholders including Controls Engineering, Operations, Facilities, EHS, Procurement, and R&D personnel
  • Drive the facilitation and startup of new electro-mechanical equipment
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Share knowledge with and support other engineering team members
  • Foster open dialogue with other functions including Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing
  • Development and execution of product testing plans and requirements
  • Analyze data, prepare progress reports and presentations
  • Process develop plastics/polymer-based products


Qualifications

  • Being a great teammate, learning from the depth of experience your teammates provide and a desire to share your own ideas and experiences
  • Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills and must have the ability to reach out, communicate and influence others
  • Interest in or track record of designing, prototyping, setting up, operating and troubleshooting machines and equipment
  • Ability to innovate and create uncommon solutions for technical challenges
  • “Hands on” mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability with an analytical mindset and a passion for excellence
  • Proficiency using SolidWorks (3D modeling and drawing)
  • Understanding of analytical methods such as FEA, CFD, tolerance analysis, and statistics
  • Desired Major: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2021 or later
