Job Description

We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

The Specialist Manufacturing Automation in the West Point Technical Operations organization will be accountable for assisting process automation systems in manufacturing in the Barrier Formulation and Filling Operations at the West Point, PA site.

General tasks include:

• Troubleshooting taxing equipment/automation issues to improve manufacturing performance
• Maintaining the automation systems in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Providing assistance as a representative of an existing production team, providing technical assistance in fulfilling the automation requisites for the team.
• Reviewing automation documents, preventive maintenance, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and safety.
• Developing and promoting corrective actions for investigations related to automation or IT systems.
• Using technical knowledge to assure the efficient operation of a variety of automated processing and information technology systems.
• Participating in audits and training programs.
• Providing on-floor assistance of manufacturing activities.
• Generating and implementing change controls to meet the needs of the facility.

Education:

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 2 years of job skills.

Skill:

• Standard Operating Procedure development and review.
• Direct duties of validation activities and all other associated Quality functions.
• Applies general knowledge of company business developed through education or past work.
• Comprehends and applies regulatory/ compliance guidelines relative to their role
• DeltaV DCS, Allen Bradly PLC, OPC, ASI/Field/Profibus and other related technologies.
• Networking, Virtual Machines, Database management and other general IT administration.
