Primary Function:The test lab COE in Galesburg, MI is seeking a Co-Op to work under the direct supervision of Test Engineers andSenior Technicians in the lab on transmission new product development testing and lab infrastructure upgrades. Thisposition will provide practical application of Electrical, Computer, and Mechanical engineering concepts in the design,documentation, build, installation, programming, and operation of custom test setups.Critical Outputs:+ Test Design: Create documentation/drawings, build electrical/mechanical hardware, and develop scripts/programs to satisfy project, program, or customer testing needs.+ Test Products: Analyze system functions, assemble prototype electrical components, contribute to product improvements, collect data, and report results+ Conduct tests: Set up instrumentation for non-routine and standard tests, start tests and monitor status: Use of Special instrumentation, software, and select test methodsEssential Functions:+ Work with test lab personal and customers to define requirements+ Proactively learn processes and technologies to support testing efforts+ Learn and apply knowledge of principles and practices of electrical, computer, and mechanical systems+ Provide hands on support to testing during design, assembly, operation, and analysis of prototype testing+ Become proficient in testing methodologies and programs using Vector CANape, A&D iTest, National Instruments, and IMC Famos. QualificationsBasic Qualifications:+ Actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics from an accredited institution.+ Must have a 2.8 or above (please do not round)+ Candidate must reside within 50 mi of the Galesburg, MI location.
