Eaton's Electrical Engineering Systems & Services Division is looking for a Services Engineering Intern/Co-op (4 months, up to 8 months). This position is located at our Kitchener, ON office.Position Overview:This intern/co-op role will perform maintenance, repair, modification and reconditioning on switchgear apparatus, such as Low & Medium Voltage Breakers and Contactors at our Power Refurbishment Centre located in Kitchener, ON.In this function you will:Perform maintenance repair, modification and reconditioning on switchgear apparatus such as low and medium voltage breakers and contactors.+ Maintain all test, shop and safety equipment in good working order.+ Provide emergency services, as well as take rotation of on-call for customer requirements.+ Provide detailed and quality reports to customers covering the scope of the work provided.+ Ship and receive equipment.+ Provide detailed and quality records in accordance with Aftermarket Centre of Excellence procedures.+ Participate in all safety meetings and perform work within the guidelines of Eatons Health and Safety policies.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. QualificationsBasic (Required) Qualifications:+ Currently enrolled in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology Program or Engineering Degree Program.+ Must live within 80 km of the Kitchener, ON location.+ Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:+ Prior internship or co-op experience.Position Criteria:+ Experience working with hand tools & strong mechanical ability with sound knowledge of electrical controls.+ Familiarity with control circuitry and process and procedures of statistical quality control methods.+ Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists and additional technical materials.+ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office tools.+ Good attitude and work ethic.+ Demonstrated customer service ability.Eaton has in place accessibility policies for accommodating employees with disabilities.
