We look for people who have a safety-first mindset, who are collaborative team players, who deliver on their commitments, who are innovators in search of a better way, and who believe in inclusion.Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us _Feed the Future,_ and grow your career.Reports to the Senior Manager, PSM.This position is located in **Lima, Ohio, U.S.A. and is** available for remote work.**What you will do:**+ Support the Process Safety Management team and develop industry-based technical skills+ Exposure to Nutrien Process Safety Management (PSM) program and how it applies to Nutrien Nitrogen and Phosphate processes+ Develop technical understanding of Nitrogen (e.g., Ammonia, Urea, Granulation) and Phosphate (Sulfuric Acid, Granulation) processes by assisting PSM Engineers/Specialists in performing Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP)+ Assist PSM Engineers/Specialists to prepare for HAZOPs by breaking down the Nitrogen and Phosphate processes into related process streams and identify the initiating events that could lead to catastrophic failures+ Assist PSM Engineers/Specialists by scribing and facilitating during HAZOP sessions with the sites+ Assemble draft and final Process Hazard Analysis reports that provide the detailed HAZOP and recommendations for plant personnel to improve the process safety of Nitrogen and Phosphate processes+ Assist specialist with other technical document development as required (may include developing training materials, generating procedure documents, creating workflow plans and diagrams, etc.)**What you will bring:**+ Currently enrolled and completing a Bachelors degree inChemical or Mechanical Engineering+ Process Safety Management regulations and industry recognized best practices+ Knowledge and experience in facilitating PHA and SIL studies, and PSM auditing+ Engineering skills and knowledge of unit operations, chemical processes, chemical processing equipment, and manufacturing process technologies**Compensation & Benefits:**$14.02-$20.03 per hour. This range is estimated for Engineering Co-op in Lima, Ohio. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.We provide a benefits package that includes catastrophic coverages including life, accidental death and dismemberment, and business travel accident insurance for a position of at least three months in duration and more than 30 hours per week.
