Our Company's Bioprocess is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to advance the cell engineering & process design capability for primary hematopoietic cells. The Senior Scientist will support biotherapeutics development pipeline and technology innovation in areas such as primary blood cell isolation, T/NK cell activation and differentiation, and ex vivo gene editing. The successful candidate should have an in-depth understanding of immunology, T/NK cell development, stem cell biology, molecular biology, and cell signaling. Candidate should have hand-on experience in these areas, including primary hematopoietic cell culture, iPSC and/or ES cell culture, vector engineering, multi-color flow cytometry panel design and Western blotting analysis for RTK signaling. The selected candidate will be expected to work independently and stay up to date on the knowledge of principles and theories related to new and emerging technologies. The selected candidate will be developed as a functional area representative and leader on project teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Multi-color flow panel design and operation.

  • Cell culture of primary hematopoietic cells including isolation, activation and cryopreservation.

  • T and NK cell subset characterization using flow cytometry.

  • Vector construction and engineering to modulate expression.

  • Lentiviral vector construction and generation.

  • RTK signaling analysis by Western blotting and other related approach.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Immunology or

  • MS in related Biological Sciences with at least four years of the experience in multicolor flow cytometry and primary T lymphocyte culture.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Expertise in multi-color flow panel design and immunophenotyping of human PBMCs lineage and T cell differentiation subsets.

  • Expertise of tools of flow cytometry data analysis, such as FlowJo.

  • Experienced in primary lymphocyte isolation and culture.

  • Expertise in immunological assays related to T cell signaling and cellular functions.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Primary NK cell culture and expansion.

  • Vector construction and engineering to modulate expression.

  • Lentiviral vector construction and generation.

  • Expertise of Western blotting and RTK signaling study.

  • Familiar with omics databases and bioinformatics tools.

  • Experience with cell engineering (e.g., CRISPR)
