**Description:****What You Will Be Doing:**As a Penske Desktop Engineer Supervisor you will oversee a team of Desktop Engineers who are responsible for designing, developing and implementing complex software systems. You will allocate Engineering resources, assist in prioritizing tasks, and report to leadership with status updates. In this role, you will play a leadership role in making decisions on golden image creation and deployment, including both software and hardware. You will ensure a smooth flow of operations by collaborating with leadership and contributors across Penske on topics such as software compliance, LAN / WAN, and ITDS security. Partnering with team leadership, you will have a direct impact on cost reduction and savings opportunities, including managing vendor relations and contracts.**Penske Responsibilities:**+ Supervise all aspects for the Desktop Engineering team, including coordinating solutions to issues and requests as they arise+ Report metrics on a weekly and monthly basis, including reports requested on demand+ Identify, design, develop, and implement complex software systems and engineering processes, including system architectural design for in-house technical solutions+ Maintain and manage vendor relationships, including identifying new vendor relationship opportunities, conducting vendor evaluations, and providing recommendations to IT leadership during vendor select+ Conduct Annual Performance Reviews, mentoring, and corrective counseling sessions as needed+ Investigate and respond to Voice of the Customer surveys based on the comments provided+ Conduct interviews for all open positions+ Resolve back-end support technical issues (i.e., pc support problem solving core load and non-core load applications)**Qualifications:****Penske Qualifications:**+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math or Information Systems or equivalent development experience+ 5 years overall IT experience required+ 3 years experience leading/supervising IT projects required+ Extensive experience in customer service required+ Leadership, mentoring, and supervisory skills preferred+ Expertise in Windows operating system and hardware administration+ Scripting experience preferred+ A and Network preferred, Green Belt or Black Belt preferred+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak about technical concepts to a non-technical audience+ Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job+ Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.**Physical Requirements:**-The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
