Position Description:

The Associate Specialist Manufacturing Automation will be accountable for assisting the manufacturing automation systems in the Barrier Formulation and Filling Operations at the West Point, PA site including the following:

Duties:

  • Troubleshooting equipment / automation issues to improve manufacturing performance (e.g. yield improvements, etc.)

  • Maintaining the automation systems in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Providing assistance as a representative of an existing production team, providing technical assistance in fulfilling the automation requisites for the team.

  • Reviewing automation documents, preventive maintenance, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and safety.

  • Developing and promoting corrective actions for investigations related to automation or IT systems.

  • Using technical knowledge to assure the efficient operation of variety of automated processing and information technology systems.

  • Participating in audits and training programs.

  • Providing on-floor sponsorship of manufacturing activities.

  • Generating and implementing change controls to meet the needs of the facility.

Other:

  • Standard Operating Procedure development and review.

  • Direct assistance of regulatory inspections and audits.

  • Direct assistance of validation activities and all other associated Quality functions.

  • Other duties requested by Management.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology or other relevant discipline

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Skilled in PLCs, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, DCSs, Manufacturing Execution System, Batch Operations (S88/S95), IT, and OEM equipment
