Job Summary

Amentum is seeking an Apple Engineering Specialist to provide support with the Apple Ecosystem to include hardware and software to join our team and support our Washington, DC customer. We are looking for team members who are passionate about making a difference by working on critical efforts that we manage as a premier government contractor.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for providing back-end engineering support on MAC operating systems.
  • Interface with senior government personnel on a daily basis.
  • Respond to and resolve end user issues that require advanced knowledge of Apple or iOS systems.
  • Update the status of queued service requests with the IT service management system.
  • Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune, set standards and maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems.

*This position is required to be onsite occasionally at the DC location.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and not possess dual citizenship with any other country
  • Must be able to pass the SEC Employment Eligibility verification process prior to start
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field, and 5+ years of experience providing engineering support, specializing in Apple hardware and MAC operating systems or 13 years equivalent experience providing engineering support, specializing in Apple hardware and MAC operating systems. Proven experience should include the following:
    • Automation with several aspects of JAMF
    • Engineering solutions to manual tasks
    • Security focused with experience in implementing DISA STIG Profiles
    • Creating EXT Attributes in JAMF
    • Adobe applications, packaging, troubleshooting, license management
    • Quickly assist users and solve complex macOS related issues
    • Ability to learn quickly
    • Apple Script, bash/shell scripting
    • FileVault 2 Enterprise Management
    • VPN Configuration Profiles
    • Working with PLIST and JSON files
  • Proficiency with the English language.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
  • The ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • JAMF certification and/or other Apple Certifications desired.
