Find out more on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa\_aiJ4L7EDo you want to work for a global player, where we care about ethics, inclusion and diversity and our people?As Mechanical Design Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing design assistance and support to the Eaton Electrical Systems & Services (ESS) Post Order team for electrotechnical installations and enhance the value generated for customers. You will also be responsible for all customer design activities pertaining to MV-switchgear assemblies and substations, creating high quality custom designed assemblies at a minimum cost while meeting and exceeding customer requirements, in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.You will define and implement improvements that develop the efficiency of the Project Engineering team and provide applied engineering and technical consultation with regards to the design and specifications of custom-made applications, necessary safety precautions.Your key deliverables+ Engineers mechanical designs and solutions based on guidance from application engineering, product knowledge, customer specifications, necessary safety precautions, design guidelines, international and Eaton standards as part of the engineering to order process. Prepares the technical specifications for the purchase of mechanical components, takes care of a complete and accurate list of materials. (EMS)+ Creation of mechanical designs, general arrangement- and floorplan- drawings for customers and to be used in production for the assembly of the switchgear and field service for installation on site.+ Investigate technological developments and working methods with regard to Mechanical Engineering, advise about possible improvements and, after approval of management, implement these.+ Execute several projects at the same time in order to deliver on time; Ensures quality by actively organizing and doing peer reviews. Is budget aware and is able to estimate hours, stay within the agreed budget and looking for possibilities to beat the budget.+ Actively analyses and investigated issues occurring or opportunities to improve work quality, on time performance, efficiency in execution by means of improvements in processes, tooling, drawing methods/guidelines in close cooperation with management. Is pro-active in self-learning of new methods, product knowledge or tooling.+ Is a team member for order projects: proactively communicates with all stakeholders involved (application engineering, electrical engineering, work preparation, order management, planning, supply chain and assembly) on both technical matters and process, planning related matters.
