Find out more on\_aiJ4L7EDo you want to work for a global player, where we care about ethics, inclusion and diversity and our people?Mechanical Design Engineer EVThe main task of the ICPD-E-PSP-EV Design Engineer is to assist New Product Design and Development activities to support and drive the EV opportunity pipeline and EV Product roadmap, focussing on IATF compliance.To interpret and discuss COMSOL simulation results to provide timely and accurate simulation data to OEM and Tier 1 customers, and work closely with Senior Design Engineers and global plants to deliver product to customer expectations.Your key deliverables:+ Support New Product Design and Development activities in line with the EV Opportunity Pipeline and EV product roadmap+ Where necessary, actively support the selection and definition of Special Characteristics for Automotive product development+ Deliver Engineering documentation in line with IATF processes and requirements+ Develop and coordinate the execution of FMEAs, Engineering Drawings and control plans where necessary, including other necessary documentation relating to product development+ Coordinate testing and collection of test results for respective projects and support the execution of design changes where necessary+ Active contribution to BOC data related to Engineering, where required+ Support resolution of urgent quality issues, including customer visits if necessary+ Proactively learn basic principles and concepts of Product Design (DFSS) and implement where applicable+ Understand COMSOL simulation results to support the Product Development team to deliver timely simulation responses to customers QualificationsAre you?+ Bachelors degree in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering/ systems engineering / physics+ Experience with CFD Analysis preferred COMSOL/Ansys also preferred but not essential+ Work-experience from 1 year in Electric/Electronic sector in the industrial field, IEC standards, special know-how of electrical design and development+ Problem solving skills, Creativity+ Self-driven, pro-active, customer focused+ Team player, happy to interact with multiple locations and cultures+ Excellent PC skills - knowledge of 3D drawing packages, especially Solid Works preferred.What Eaton offers?+ Competitive compensation and benefits package+ Contract in fast growing global company+ Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team+ Great promotional opportunities We encourage internal promotion, whenever possible+ Excellent working environment safety and ethic are important for usCandidate applying to the vacancy will be subject of the background screening#LI-CL2We make what matters work.
