Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in our Materials Lab and Plating areas. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for understanding, implementing and monitoring the quality requirements of Eaton's Aerospace Laboratories and Plating Department. This position is critical to maintaining Eaton's Aerospace laboratories NADCAP certifications. As part of their duties, the Senior Quality Engineer will review NADCAP and quality system changes and help implement them in the lab, as well as coordinating PTP and round robin testing. During NADCAP and other audits, this position may be the lead representative.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure compliance to Nadcap processes for the Materials lab by performing internal audits, supporting Nadcap audits and responding to findings, as applicable.
  • Act as lead/co-lead representative during lab and plating audits for external customer and regulatory audits. Responding to findings/corrective actions, as applicable.
  • Set-up and maintain current, precise and systematic records for the quality system.
  • Schedule and conduct equipment calibrations as required.
  • Communicate with Lab and Plating external customers when necessary to support quality concerns, conformance and problem solving.
  • Communicate (both orally and written) with supervision and Sales in a precise, logical, informative and tactful manner.
  • Review and sign off test certificates and Certificates of Conformance as necessary
  • Manage and control test documents and storage.
  • Quality representative for the plating department, responsible for timeliness of MRB disposition and root cause, corrective action of plating processes.
  • Perform such other duties which may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a quality focused role
  • Experience with a quality systems audit
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of NADCAP, ISO, AS9100, and plating processes
  • Experience working in a metallurgy or plating department.
