Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility.

Position Overview:

The Supplier Quality role is responsible for providing support to the manufacturing cells regarding manufacturing, assembly, and testing of externally purchased products. The Supplier Quality Engineer supports MRB activity internally and externally to the plant, development of suppliers, and maintaining supplier quality controls.

The Euclid facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of aerospace main engine fuel pumps and components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

In this role, you will:

  • Disposition, review, and investigate nonconforming material from purchased parts.
  • Perform and implement corrective and preventative actions to reduce scrap, rework, and DPPM.
  • Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) of manufactured products by coordinating process changes at suppliers.
  • Work cross functionally with the members of the manufacturing cells, product engineering, and customer quality to maintain business measurables.
  • Review Engineering drawings and changes to ensure the changes are compliant with customer requirements and are properly implemented into the supplier base.
  • Use a variety of problem-solving tools to respond to internal or external customer corrective action requests including full root cause analysis, determining / implementing permanent corrective actions, and validating the results.
  • Facilitate and drive Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) for existing and new products.
  • Ensure all internal and external customer quality requirements are met by performing audits of the supplier base, Layered Process Audits (LPA) and internal audits for the site.
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) reviews of purchased parts

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with castings.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Experience with AS9100 quality systems
  • Working knowledge of root cause analysis
  • FAI experience per AS9102
  • Experience with supplier audits of manufacturing and special processes
