Job Description

Organon is recruiting for a Multiskilled Engineering Technician (Electrical Bias) to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. In this role, you will be primarily working a three-shift pattern, responsible for providing technical support to high-speed packaging lines. You will understand and comply with all relevant Safety and Quality standards, global and site Policies and Procedures, all of which are subject to external regulatory inspection.

This is an exciting time to join our team as it grows and evolves, providing the opportunity to be responsible for maintaining, calibrating and repairing equipment within designated areas, such that production priorities are met, and the equipment performs to its optimum capability.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Define, plan, perform and document all maintenance activities to cGMP/Safety standards both in paper-based records and the computerised maintenance management system (SAP) and other appropriate systems as required.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance as well as calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems as per procedural documentation.
  • Perform mechanical/electrical fault finding on packaging equipment, including automated systems such as PC/PLC/HMI/Motor Drives and networks.
  • Diagnose faults, organise internal/external resources, source parts and rectify to meet production requirements.
  • Proactively engage in continuous improvement activities relating to Safety, cGMP and Productivity.
  • Support the installation and validation of new equipment and tooling.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completed a recognised Multiskilled Apprenticeship.
  • Preferably attained HNC in an Electrical, Electronic discipline or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and controls would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical or similar industry.
  • IT literate and ability to utilise all Microsoft programs.
