Overview

Entegris is seeking an Engineering Technician to assist in hands on laboratory and scale up production environment for SPI cleaning chemistry development for the semiconductor industry. As a member of the SPI R&D team, this individual will have daily interaction with formulation chemists, analytical chemists, R&D engineering, and support staff, and will report to the R&D Manager. This position provides the opportunity to contribute to leading edge technology in a growing company where individual and team success are recognized.



Responsibilities

  • Follow work instructions from scientists/engineers to mix formulations, measure specified metrics, and report out on observations in timely fashion.
  • Maintain clean environment and follow all site-specific safety policies
  • Maintain raw material inventory and order chemicals needed for projects as needed
  • Review, create, improve and adhere strictly to laboratory safety processes, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other documentation
  • Proactively communicate status to R&D manager, engineers, and scientists for questions to clarify work, process, safety issues, and/or changes in schedules
  • Run, analyze, and report out metrology results for SPI samples to team on planned schedule
  • Learn new processes and metrology equipment with training as needed for collection of metrics


Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher in Science or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in R&D and/or analytical lab environment
  • Experience handling hazardous materials, especially corrosive and/or flammable liquids
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as ICP OES, IC, pH, conductivity, and viscosity a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail and safety
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong computer skills, Excel, labware (LIMS), sharepoint, enotebook, etc…
  • Continuous Improvement mentality
  • Capable of flexible schedule
  • Proactive and a self-starter/independent worker, highly accountable;
  • Capability to multi-task and prioritize work
