Overview

The Entegris Life Sciences R&D group in Billerica, MA is looking for a motivated and team oriented individual to join our dynamic and collaborative group. The core purpose of this role is to support the engineering team with R&D related activities to allow the group to more rapidly develop and assess new products and processes. This position reports to the R&D Engineering Team and receives work instruction from all engineers within the group.



Responsibilities

  • Execute product testing using a mixture of R&D equipment
  • Collect, manage, and report data to engineering group
  • Assist with product, application, and process development activities
  • Assist with designing bioprocess components with SolidWorks
  • Assist with prototyping and testing of fluid handling products
  • Compile and document results, write technical reports and communicate testing status verbally and in writing
  • Follow standard test practices and procedures
  • Collect samples and submit requests for analysis in the QA and/or Analytical Labs
  • Work with other groups including Manufacturing, Analytical, EH&S, etc. as needed to support R&D work orders
  • Package & ship material when needed


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technician role in the Life Sciences, Biotech or MedTech industry
  • Single-use related experience, bioprocess environment experience, or a 2-year degree in a science or engineering field, or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
  • Prior experience working 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks is a plus
  • Experience building lab fixtures is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Office products (MS Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Attention to detail, systematic approach, strong organizational skills and good documentation skills is essential for success in this role
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and other functional areas
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimum supervision once training is complete
  • Proactive and clear communication on work activities
  • Ability to execute assigned tasks to a high standard and provide reliable, high quality data that the group can trust for making decisions
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvements within our procedures and equipment to improve safety and efficiency
