Senior Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician

Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician to join our Groton, CT team.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide support to engineering and design staff in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Install, monitor, and service SWFTS Tech-Insertion & APB cycle of AN/BLQ-10 ESM systems at various Naval locations.
• Assist with test and evaluation, checkout, certification tasks. Perform validations/ verifications of various electronic systems.
• Review change proposals for equipment impacts.
• Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions.
• Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, trouble-shooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
• Establish and maintain a filing system, databases, and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory.
• Provide technical data and evaluation for components installation, equipment maintenance and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout and contract requirements.

• Formal electronics training from a Technical or U.S. Navy "C" school and at least 10 years years of job-related experience.
• Must have an active Secret clearance, which requires US citizenship.
• Practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of C5I and/or NC3 systems/equipment.
• Experience in the maintenance/repair and/or installation disciplines.
• Experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
• Excellent communications and analytical skills.
• Must be able to travel up to 60%.

• Preferred candidates will possess knowledge across multiple submarine platforms and SWFTS systems.
