Senior Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician
Job Summary
Amentum is seeking a Senior Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician to join our Groton, CT team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide support to engineering and design staff in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Install, monitor, and service SWFTS Tech-Insertion & APB cycle of AN/BLQ-10 ESM systems at various Naval locations.
- Assist with test and evaluation, checkout, certification tasks. Perform validations/ verifications of various electronic systems.
- Review change proposals for equipment impacts.
- Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions.
- Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, trouble-shooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
- Establish and maintain a filing system, databases, and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory.
- Provide technical data and evaluation for components installation, equipment maintenance and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout and contract requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Formal electronics training from a Technical or U.S. Navy "C" school and at least 10 years years of job-related experience.
- Must have an active Secret clearance, which requires US citizenship.
- Practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of C5I and/or NC3 systems/equipment.
- Experience in the maintenance/repair and/or installation disciplines.
- Experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
- Excellent communications and analytical skills.
- Must be able to travel up to 60%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred candidates will possess knowledge across multiple submarine platforms and SWFTS systems.
